A Music Festival for a Cause — Supporting Stray Cats in Oneida, NY

CatStock 6 is back, and it’s bigger, louder, and more community-driven than ever.

What started as a small, volunteer-run fundraiser has grown into one of Oneida’s most unique local events — a full-day music festival and community gathering dedicated to helping stray and abandoned cats in our area. Every single dollar raised goes directly to local animal organizations. No one involved gets paid. This is all heart.

The Mission

CatStock exists to support the people doing the hard, often unseen work of caring for stray cats in our community. From trap-neuter-return programs to long-term rescue and adoption efforts, these organizations rely heavily on donations and local support to keep going.

This year, proceeds will benefit:

• Oneida Community Cats Committee – A dedicated TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) group that has helped over 100 cats in 2024 alone and has received more than $10,000 from CatStock since CatStock 3

• Operation Wildcat – A small but mighty 3-person rescue that’s been helping cats since 2002, with over $7,000 raised through CatStock

• Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association – A long-standing local shelter with over 40 years of service, receiving more than $3,000 from past events

The Event

CatStock 6 will be held at the Oneida American Legion and features a full day of live music, food, local vendors, activities, and community connection.

This is not your typical festival. It’s grassroots, it’s local, and it’s powered entirely by volunteers, sponsors, and people who just want to do something good.

Come hungry — CatStock brings together a wide range of local food vendors serving everything from tacos and pizza to baked goods and lemonade.

Vendor Village

With 60+ vendors, the Vendor Village is a huge part of CatStock. You’ll find handmade goods, crafts, art, local businesses, and more. It’s a great way to support small businesses while you’re here.

Kids Zone

CatStock is family-friendly, and the Kids Zone keeps the younger crowd busy all day with:

Raffle Baskets

One of the biggest fundraisers of the event. We put together a huge selection of raffle baskets donated by local businesses and community members. There’s something for everyone, and every ticket sold helps support the cause.

Classic Car Show

Car lovers can check out a lineup of classic and custom vehicles as part of the event. It’s another piece that makes CatStock feel like a true community festival.

Community Support

CatStock wouldn’t exist without the support of local sponsors and partners. Businesses from all over the area step up to help make this happen every year.

We also partner with organizations like Pet Supplies Plus in Rome, who contribute additional support by donating proceeds leading up to the event.

Why It Matters

Stray and feral cats are a real issue in our community, and the people working to help them are often underfunded and overwhelmed. CatStock is about showing up for them — and for the animals they care for.

It’s also about bringing people together. Music, food, local businesses, families, friends — all in one place, all for a good cause.
